With Night of Knights coming up fast, the event chairs for the school fundraiser announced a video contest during chapel Monday Dec 4.  Students were encouraged to create one minute videos to promote the event for a chance to win a Raising Cane’s meal for their whole class.  The videos are due Jan 21 by 11:59 pm.   See the example video and the instructions below.

Instructions:

CANE’S FOR YOUR CLASS VIDEO CONTEST

Gentleman . . . start your engines . . . and your appetites! Mount Michael students are invited by the Night of Knights event chairs to get creative and submit their best videos, all for a chance to win lunch for their entire class from Raising Cane’s.

To enter for your chance to win, simply create and produce a 60 second video clip that features both Mount Michael and this year’s event theme: “Talladega Knights.” You can find an example video here. All submissions must be uploaded to One Drive by 11:59am on Sunday, January 21, 2018. Must be in MP4 or Quicktime formats.

The winning entry and any runners-up will be featured on Mount Michael’s social media channels and the Mount Michael YouTube site. In addition, the winning entry will win a Raising Cane’s lunch for their entire class.

So, make your video entertaining. Make it action-packed. Make it creative and funny.

THE RULES:

-Videos must be created and submitted by Mount Michael students.

-Videos can be created using video editing tools and apps such as iMovie, Adobe Premier, Dubsmash, musical.ly, etc.

-Videos must feature Mount Michael in some way, as well as tie into the racing theme of the event.

-Although you can have fun with creating your video, all entries must also adhere to the guidelines set forth the Mount Michael Benedictine Values as well as the Mount Michael Honor Code. Both can be found in the 2017/18 Mount Michael Handbook.

-Any entries using pieces that conflict with copyright laws will be disqualified, this includes music.

-Videos should be 60 seconds or less.

-Videos must be submitted by 11:59pm by January 21, 2018.

-Winners will be determined by the Night of Knights Committee Chairs.
